The 9th Regiment
Virginia Infantry
The
9th Virginia had the honor to participate as the Honor Guard at the dedication
of the plaque to honor Brig. General Lewis A. Armistead, C.S.A. at the
Spangler Farm on the 135Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.
This plaque was placed by the Armistead
Marker Preservation Committee on July 5th, 1998.
On July 31st of 1999
the 9th Virginia helped in the celebration of the 140th Anniversary of
the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trenton, Maryland. Mr.
Troy Barnes, a.k.a. Pvt. Andrew Lee is a member of this Church. It
was a great time had by all in attendance and the 9th Virginia depicted
life for the Church Members and their families as it was back in the War
Between the States.
