Laguiole was a very small rescue Chapel. Etymologically, Laguiole comes from the word "La Gleisola" (1182) that means the little church.
Laguiole village is located in Aveyron Department, in Aubrac Region. Famous for their knives, the concept of adding a corkscrew to the knife came to life as
an essential tool for the Aubracians visiting Paris. This dates back to 1880.
Only genuine Château Laguiole corkscrews are adorned with a fly at rest. It represents the Aubrac cow herd flies. (Nowadays, there is discussion about
