Last fall, Mr. Bill Gates was in China for three weeks, the longest time
he had been away from Microsoft since he founded the company in 1975.
Back in his office, when he tried to check his e-mail, Mr. Gates was
confronted with an annoyance experienced by thousands of computer users
every day: he had forgotten his password.

One of the finalists in an LA radio station's crazy stunt Super Promotion
last January was Mike Garcia, who planned to swallow his glass eye,
regurgitate it and re-insert it. despite a large pre-stunt breakfast of
steak, eggs, a six pack of beer, which made him vomit for 15 minutes, the
glass eye did not come back at the end of the contest. Reported the
Torrance Daily Breeze, "so Garcia left with an empty left eyesocket, a
strong buzz, soiled clothing -- and the prospect of shelling out $1500 for
a new eye."

Per the first Durex Global Survey of sexual behavior (ten thousand men and
women in 15 countries were polled), lovers in the USA finish first in
several categories:
Most sexually active. The USA leads the world with an annual sexual
intercourse average of 135 times, or once every 2.7 days. Behind us:
Russia (133), France (128), Britain (124), Poland (119), Australia (116)
and South Africa (111). Thailand is lowest with 64.
Earliest sexual intercourse. World average for earliest sex is 17.6
years. U.S. average is 16.2, leading Britain (16.7), Brazil (16.9),
France (17), South Africa (17.1) and Australia (17.2). Hong Kong is at
the bottom of the list at 18.9.
The US loses the big one, though. By the survey's calculations, the
French are better lovers than we are, probably because, at 11th in the
category, we care so little about our partners' needs (61% of respondents
in the USA put ``my own personal sexual satisfaction'' first on a list of
sexual priorities vs. the 23% who placed satisfying the partner at the
top of the list).
