PRICE

Good equipment costs money, but even in today's shriveled dollars the cost of good guns remains one of the bargains of the world. If a good grade of utility glass is bolted onto a Remington 7 or a Ruger Ultra the total outlay may come to less than $500--say $50 in real money. A really superb custom scout may be hand for less than $2000-- about the price of a 200cc power tricycle. We see people buying power tricycles for their kids to play with--machines which will be worn out and abandoned in five years. A $2000 rifle will last forever, barring accidents, and serve a far more serious purpose than describing figure eights in the sand. Of all our artifacts, personal weapons are the best examples of return on money expended. Let no one who buys a car, or a horse, or a soundsystem, or a house evern complain about the cost of a guns.
