96. Samuel ASHTON was born in Feb 1771 in Bucks Co, PA. He died in 1834 in Perry Twp, Brown Co, OH. In the fall of 1799, he moved his family to Fayette Co. in western PA. Then in the spring of 1807, they moved again to Washington Co., OH. He was married to Hannah JOHNSON on 14 Oct 1795 in Christ Church, Philadelphia, PA.

97. Hannah JOHNSON was born about 1772 in Tom's River, Ocean Co, NJ. She died after 1812 in Marietta, Washington Co, OH.(80) (She is named as an heir in her father's will, proved 2 Apr 1812 in NJ.) Children were:

child i. Samuel ASHTON Jr.
child ii. William Johnson ASHTON was born on 6 Sep 1796 in Pennsylvania. He died on 13 Jul 1883 in Clermont Co, OH. He was buried in Williamsburg Cem.
child iii. Thomas Hutchinson ASHTON was born on 30 Nov 1797 in Bucks Co, PA. He was christened. He died. He was buried.
child48 iv. Zachariah ASHTON.
child v. James ASHTON was born on 17 Sep 1802 in Fayette Co, PA. He was christened. He died. He was buried.
child vi. George ASHTON was born in 1803. He was christened. He died. He was buried.
child vii. Rose ASHTON was born. She was christened. She died. She was buried.
child viii. Hannah ASHTON was born. She was christened. She died. She was buried.
child ix. Alexander H ASHTON was born about 1810 in Ohio. He died about 1849 in Kentucky. Believed by some researchers to be a son of either Hannah or Rose, born out of wedlock while they were living at home.
