774. Joseph KIRKBRIDE was born on 29 Sep 1662 in Oulton, , England. He died on 1 Mar 1737 in Bucks Co, PA. Third son, arrived Dec. 1681 on "Bristol Factor" from Bristol. Purchased by 1687, 800 acres at "The Falls" Bucks Co. PA; 2,597 acres in 1720 (now Doylestown). Left on his death 13,349 acres and $10,000 to his heirs. Returned to England 1699 as agent for Wm. Penn; elected 1697 to Legislative Assy. of PA. Appointed 1707 Justice of the Peace, and commissioner for West Jersey 1719. He was married to Phebe BLACKSHAW on 13 Jan 1688 in Middletown, , PA.
