March 3, 1999 - Kelcie's Klubbers trades their 1999 1st round draft choice (4) acquired in an earlier deal to Bates Motel, with two tickets, Sect. 118, Row 12, Seats 6 and 7, to all three Chicago Cubs at Cleveland Indians games scheduled for play at Jacobs Field on June 4, 5, 6 of 1999. In addition, Kelcie's Klubbers agree they may not draft pitcher Kerry Wood, or any pitcher with Wood as a last name, nor may Kelcie's Klubbers trade any of the top three choices in the 1999 draft. Additionally, Bates Motel has the option to claim its first choice of any potato chip products available at 1999 draft lunch, and Kelcie's Klubbers are required to cook Bates Motel's hamburger to order. In exchange, Bates Motel agrees to send its 1999 1st round draft choice (2) acquired in an earlier deal, to Kelcie's Klubbers, and additionally present Kelcie's Klubbers with an official game program from the Chicago Cubs vs. Cleveland Indians MLB series of June 4-6, 1999 at Jacobs Field, and supply Kelcie's Klubbers with a sports section from The Cleveland Plain Dealer for each day of that series. Sons of Bliches acquire the Last Rites nickname from Dennis Farney, plus the voodoo 20-sided die originally loaned to Farney, in exchange for one bag of McDonald's french fries, super-sized, with extra salt and future considerations (two packets of catsup). Farney's franchise announces its new name is Up And Comers. Priest agrees his team, now known as the Last Rites, immediately has its roster frozen for the remainder of the 1999 JBL season, and will be unfrozen along with the other teams at the usual off-season time.No transactions may be made with Last Rites until then.
