First let me say that Ann Arbor is without a doubt the coolest city in Michigan and a dream come true for beer lovers. Arbor Brewing is the
best brewpub in the area and possibly all of eastern Michigan. The atmosphere in this place is great. The floor, carved wood and ceilings
give this place the air of an old homey English pub. The best part about this place is that it retains it's charm while still being packed with
college kids. That cannot be said about some of the beer spots in Ann Arbor. People come to Arbor for one reason, and thats to enjoy good
beer and good food. The menu can only be described as ecclectic offering everything from pub fare to gourmet vegetarian selections. The
beer is the big story. Anything put on tap at this place will be flavorful and true to style. The cask conditioned porter and IPA are on
tap full time and both are absolutely outstanding. Also, you need to try the special bitter! Superb hop nose and flovor with a nice toasted
maly balance. Also on tap are an alt, mild, stout and sometimes a pils or wheat. We missed the seasonal tripple, dopplebock and old ale but
hopefully some will be on tap next week. Definately worth making the trip to Ann Arbor for.
