Hi,
my name is Joe and I'd like to welcome you to our page.
This page will contain reviews of brewpubs and beers that
my friend Chuck and I have visited/tasted.
Chuck
and I both live in Oakland County and we love beer.
I am from Waterford and Chuck resides in Rochester.
He is a big fan of hops and Pale Ales in the English and
American styles but I prefer malt and lean towards robust
German and Belgian styles. Chuck has spent more
time studying style than I have but now that we have
begun this page I will start paying more attention to
style. We really enjoy Michigan beer and have
already visited a good number of Michigan breweries,
including the old Frankenmuth brewery that was destroyed
by tornado. We've spent a lot of time drinking beer
and jotting down our comments (most notably at the
Berkley Front before it changed ownership.) We have
discussed writing a book or eventually opening up our own
microbrewery and someday hopefully we will. Chuck
has done a lot of studying about beer in the past two
years and enjoys homebrewing and soon we will start
working on some batches together. In August of 1998
we decided to create this web page with our reviews.
We hope you enjoy our page, but more importantly we hope
that you will enjoy drinking Michigan beer like we do.
On a closing note, we would like to
invite anyone who has comments on breweries that we have
visited to send us an email and we will include it in a
"guest review."
