Hey Everybody, welcome to our web page.  My name is Chuck and I really love good beer and good food.  But what is Good?  Let me tell you about my personal background and likes/dislikes so you can better understand my reviews.  First of all, I am a consumer and write all of my reviews from a consumers standpoint.  I do not work in the Michigan beer or food industry so my comments are my honest opinions.  When I sit down at a new place and shell out a half days pay for food and beer I fully expect a great experience as far as quality and service.  There are many microbreweries and brewpubs out there and not all of them are good.  As for food, I do not eat turkey, pork, chicken, beef, or any other meat besides occasional seafood so my food reviews will be a little different from Joe's.  Beer is also a major focus of this page and I consider myself extremely knowledgeable in the subject.  I have tried hundreds of different brands and styles of beer and have researched beer and brewing extensively.  I even make my own beer at home.  (email me some good recipes!)  I can enjoy any style but I know that I am in a serious minority when I say that I feel the best beers in the world are being made right here in the USA.  Even in the beer Mecca's of England, Belgium and Germany I do not see the variety of styles and tastes that are being explored in America.  Especially dear to me are the beers from here in Michigan.  I truly believe that Michigan has the best beer scene east of Colorado soon to be the best beer scene in the country.  I hope you enjoy the web page and if you see me out enjoying a pint make sure you say hello.
