In 2003, I had a little fender bender in the driveway. A sensible person would have just fixed the minor damage, but I decided to re-do the whole car. I gutted it inside and out and sent it to the body shop. This page has a few shots of it getting put back together.

Looks like a V8 will fit...

Yep, it fits!

This is the bare interior. After I took this photo, the whole interior got a heavy coat of 3M sound deadener. Once that dried, I applied the Dynamat. Notice the steering column. That got replaced by a tilt unit from a Monza and a cool Grant wheel.

Spaghetti anyone? This is midway through the installation of the new Painless Wiring harness. They don't make a Vega harness, so I had to use a street rod harness and customize it.

The Vintage Air unit. Got to have it in Florida!

I made this custom dash bezel from a sheet of 1/4" textured black nylon. The cheap Kenwood stereo has been replaced by an Alpine unit. The open area in the center of the dash is for the Vintage Air controls.
