The NW LDS Symphony Orchestra

We are a group of amateur musicians in the Portland, Oregon/Vancouver, Washington area (not Vancouver, Canada) who rehearse each Thursday night in Vancouver. We perform several free concerts each season. Our principal conductor is Gary Parks; our Founder and conductor emeritus is Colleen Tolva. We play all types of wholesome music: show tunes, movie themes, pops, semi-classical, classical, secular, spiritual, patriotic. We just don't plug any of our instruments in. Most of us are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but we welcome musicians of all faiths to come and audition with us.
For more information, send me a message below. We always welcome more musicians to join us! We need more of everything!

We have put together a handbook for members and potential members of the Orchestra. This handbook includes our Mission Statement and information about the operation and organization of the Symphony. You can see the handbook here.

Send me a message! I am Rick Johnson, clarinetist.
