Statement for PS1 Greater NY 2000

In my works systems of technological and biological iconography happen around a surface that hinges between illusion and materiality.  Purity of form, surface and intent is appreciated under these circumstances as indicators of some kind of utopia, similar to the poignant light-filled space of a computer monitor.  Forms of growth, subjective cultural décor, entropy and other differentiations complicate this.  I am interested in the point at which these forms loosely become an organism.  That is, before entropy introduces arbitrariness.
